Does dryer heat kill clothes moths?
A hot dryer can kill Clothes moth stages on garments that survive high heat. It does not reach the larva in the carpet edge or a stored wool blanket in a humid closet. Clean first, isolate, vacuum the baseboard, and confirm you do not have Carpet beetle instead.
Heat is a tool, not a closet
Same logic as bed bugs: the machine treats what you put in it. The room still needs inspection. Cedar and mothballs are the weak supporting cast. See those questions.
