How to get rid of Phorid flies
Phoridae
Phorid flies run erratically across surfaces with a humped thorax. When they persist after you cleaned the trash, think a dead rodent in a wall, a broken sewer line, or a filthy dumpster pad. They are a diagnostic insect. Bleaching the kitchen does not reach a carcass in a void. Follow the odor, inspect attics and crawlspaces, and call a plumber if drains are the map. Horror nicknames are not a reason to publish graphic content — find the source and remove it with normal hygiene PPE.
How to identify Phorid fly
- Small, dark, humped back, scuttle-run more than house-fly rest.
