Rodents
What does mouse poop look like?
House mouse droppings are small (about ⅛–¼ inch), pointed, and scattered. Norway rat droppings are blunt capsules about ¾ inch, often in groups along a wall. Roof rat pellets sit between those sizes and show up in attics. If you buy mouse traps for ¾-inch capsules, you will under-spring the job.
Do not dry-sweep
Wet a paper towel, pick up, bag it. CDC is explicit about not stirring rodent waste into the air, especially for deer-mouse country. Cockroach droppings are smaller and smear; they are a different page.
