How many mice is an infestation?
If a House mouse is using the building, you already have a control job. They breed quickly. “I only saw one” is a sampling error. Buy a 12-pack of snap traps, seal pencil-width gaps, and stop leaving pet food out. That is an infestation response, not a census.
What “done” looks like
Empty traps for several nights, no new droppings, and holes that stay sealed. Not “we caught the big one.” House mice use multiple runways. Under-trapping is why people say traps failed.
