Oriental cockroaches are dark, greasy-looking, and slower than German cockroaches. Females have short wings; they are not built for kitchen-cabinet speed. They love decaying organic matter, floor drains, and cool damp basements. People call them waterbugs. If you bait only the cookie cabinet, you miss the crawlspace.
