Do ants sleep?
Ants rest in short bouts rather than a human night. You will still see 24-hour traffic on a strong trail. Place bait when foragers are active — often evening for carpenter ants, daytime for many pavement ants. Sleep trivia is not a pesticide.
Time the bait to foraging
If nobody is on the trail, the bait dries out and they never find it. Follow workers, then place. That beats a midnight spray of a sleeping kitchen.
