Termites
Can termites come through concrete?
Subterranean termite travel from soil through cracks, plumbing penetrations, and the joint where slab meets wall. They build mud tubes over concrete. They do not chew a hole through sound four-inch slab like a drill. The colony is still in the ground. A consumer spray on a tube is not a barrier treatment.
What to do with a mud tube
Photograph it, note whether it is active (live insects if you open a small section), and call a licensed operator. Breaking every tube without a soil treatment is how they rebuild overnight. Wood-to-soil contact and foam board at grade still feed the story.
